Sand Dunes, Michigan

Image
Overview: The Silver Lake State Park in Michigan offers a spectacular variety of Dunes. We took a Dune Ride at Mac Woods Sand Dune Rides and the view from the top was simply amazing with clear blue waters in the horizon. We had a brief stop at the banks of Lake Michigan which is a vast fresh water lake and we could see miles and miles of blue waters. The Ride takes you through the forest area which is a part of the State Park.               References: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silver_Lake_State_Park_(Michigan) Map:

Niagara Falls and Toronto, ON, Canada

Image
Overview: Niagara Falls would probably be on top on any visit to Canada. We decided to drive all the way from Detroit, MI to get a feel of cross-country driving. It was almost mid day by the time we reached Niagara. The roar of the falls could be heard from a distance and the famous Horseshoe falls could be seen from the road itself. It lived up to its reputation of being one of the top waterfalls in the world. We took the 'Maid of the Mist' boat to the base of the falls and the view was amazing.          After visiting the falls, we proceeded towards the city of Toronto. The city has a large Asian population with many from the subcontinent. We drove through the city, visited the famous CN Tower which was once the world's tallest tower. One gets to see the panoramic view of the city from the top of the tower.          References: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niagara_Falls http://en.wikipedia.org/w...
