Boarding a Star Air flight, I anticipated a quick journey to Kalaburagi, a city with its own unique charm and history. Chapter 1: Kalaburagi, a Gateway to the Past Within a mere 1.5 hours, my flight gracefully touched down at Kalaburagi airport. Despite its small size, the airport lacked convenient transportation options. Faced with exorbitant autorickshaw fares, I discovered an alternative for the more adventurous traveler. Walking just 1 kilometer from the airport, I reached the main road, where I could catch an affordable bus to the city center for just Rs 20. Click here to view detailed video Overview:  Today is our last day of our Madhya Pradesh. We visited the length and breadth of the state but still missed many places of attraction. On our last day, we visited Sanchi Stupa and Vidisha. There was some festival going on at Sanchi so we decided to visit that as our final destination for the day. Udayagiri Caves: We went to Udayagiri caves as our first stop. The Udayagiri Caves are a group of rock-cut Hindu and Jain cave temples located in the Udayagiri Hills near the city of Vidisha in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. The caves, which date back to the 5th century CE, are renowned for their well-preserved rock-cut sculptures, inscriptions, and architectural features. The caves were used as monasteries and residences by Buddhist and Hindu monks, and they offer a glimpse into the religious and cultural life of the region during the early medieval period. Watch the full video here Overview: We reached Bhopal from Pipariya early morning at 4am and checked into the Railway retiring room on Platform 1. We slept for sometime and got ready for our trip - Bhimbetka Rock shelters and Bhojpur. We had our early morning tea and snacks at the iconic Raju tea house, which has served several celebrities over the years and has maintained its quality and taste. Post breakfast we proceeded towards Bhimbetka, which is around 1.5 hours drive from Bhopal. We hired a cab for our trip and he took us to Bhimbetka by around 10:30am. Bhimbetka is famous for its rock shelters that offer a window into the lives of our ancestors. The rock shelters, which date back to the Paleolithic era, are adorned with over 500 paintings that depict various scenes from everyday life and hunting expeditions.
