Exploring Bengaluru Airport's New Terminal 2
I was particularly impressed by the lounge, although I didn't get a chance to experience it during my visit. With 32+ gates, the terminal is equipped to accommodate international airlines in the future. Currently, only Air Asia and Star Air domestic flights are in operation.
Despite this, I found flying out of Terminal 2 to be a great experience. The airport's design and layout are both impressive, with plenty of natural light and open spaces making it feel less crowded than other airports. The garden city theme is particularly well-executed, creating a calming and welcoming atmosphere.
As I waited for my flight, I couldn't help but notice the attention to detail throughout the terminal. From the unique seating arrangements to the artwork on the walls, everything felt carefully considered and thoughtfully designed. The use of greenery and nature-inspired decor made the airport feel like an extension of the city itself.
I was travelling to Kalaburgi on Star Air, a 60-seater airline that offered good leg space. One downside I experienced was the limited space in the overhead compartments. It made it challenging to store my belongings and required me to be extra careful when handling them. However, the comfort of the flight itself more than made up for this minor inconvenience.
Overall, I was impressed by Bangalore Airport's Terminal 2 and look forward to visiting again in the future. The airport's attention to detail, unique design, and garden city theme make it a welcome addition to the city's infrastructure. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a more pleasant airport experience.

How to reach: T1 and T2 are within the same airport campus at a distance of approximately 600 meters, and complimentary airport shuttle bus services are available 24X7 at regular frequency between the two terminals.

At T2, complimentary shuttle services are available from the inner lane at pick-up points P16 / P17 at the Arrivals zone.
